For this project we demo’d an existing deck structure that was haphazardly built, which resulted in severe structural damage to the home.
We had to strategically remove replace the rotten rim joist at the rear elevation of the home, install proper deck flashing details, and then re-frame the deck.
We taped all framing and blocking to prevent standing water from causing rot.
We transformed this sad deck into a stunning outdoor space using Azek TimberTech decking. We incorporated a brown border to tie the gray decking into the brick retaining walls.
