Danbury, CT — Modern Deck Remodel
We demo’d an unsafe pressure treated deck, placed 7 new footings, and framed a new 30’ x 16’ two-tiered deck. We installed Wolf Serenity decking and Trex Transcend railings with post-cap lighting.
Phase two will involve finishing the ceiling below the deck with recessed lighting and a vinyl ceiling. To accomplish this, we prepped the deck with an EPDM rubber membrane and installed a 6” gutter on the exterior of the support beam.
Going the extra mile.
To ensure that the space below the deck will be just as enjoyable as the new deck, we installed an EPDM rubber membrane to act as a gutter system to direct water away from the house and out to a gutter installed on the deck support beam. The space below will now be 100% waterproof from the elements.
Preparation is key.
We had the electrician rough-in the electrical for the post-cap lights prior to placing the rubber membrane so we could properly waterproof the deck.
