This was a dream project for us. Working on the island provided plenty of obstacles, and we loved it! We faced logistical challenges of getting materials out to the island, structural challenges of an 1800’s cottage with extensive rot damage, and a lack of shore power. Challenges aside, the final result was, well, BEAUTIFUL!

All The Way Up!
After discovering significant rot damage on the structural beams for the cottage, we had to demo the upper level deck to repair the damage. We reframed the deck and installed a rubber roof membrane below it to keep the main floor deck dry. We installed new 6” gutters to help manage rain water.
